WWW.FLIRTINGINTRAFFIC.COM: A WAY TO MEET THE PEOPLE YOU SEE ON THE STREET - NOW TAILORING TO THE GAY AND LESBIAN COMMUNITY
CONSHOHOCKEN, PA (November 30, 2006) -- You're in your car stopped at a red light. You casually glance out your window and see a really attractive blonde. You want to roll down your window and get her (or his) phone number, but the light turns green and she (he) speeds away.
Up 'til now, this is the only way this scene could play itself out. However, www.flirtingintraffic.com is changing all of that. www.flirtingintraffic.com is the new way to meet people who pique your interest while driving down the street.
Visitors are encouraged to log onto the Web site, complete a simple biography and upload a current head shot. Site access is 100% FREE and the only cost to the user is if they want to purchase a sticker (they can download a PDF of their sticker from the site for free)!!
Once the registration process is complete, "Flirts" will receive in the mail (or download) a numbered sticker to put on the bumper of their car. The sticker, similar to the oval "OBX" and "LBI" travel destination stickers found on many of our area's vehicles, is printed with a personal identification number, known as the "Flirting ID."
When other "Flirts" see your identification number, they can log onto the flirtingintraffic.com Web site, enter the sticker number, and learn more about you. If the individual wants to correspond with you, he/she can do so through the Web site's e-mail system. No direct e-mail addresses are ever given out.
www.flirtiningintraffic.com was developed by Conshohocken, Pennsylvania native, Ben Philips, an Information Technology professional by trade and a true "Flirt" at heart. Philips came up with the idea last spring when he was stopped at a red light and saw an attractive girl in a Jaguar V12 parked next to him. "I wanted to meet this girl really badly," said Philips in a recent interview, "but there was no legitimate way for me to do so. I didn't want to follow her and let her think I was some kind of stalker. At that point, I just let it go. But I knew I had to come up with a way for me and all of the other people who've been in similar situations to formally meet."
Philips points out that www.flirtingintraffic.com is unlike any other online matchmaking or dating service. "You already know what that person looks like because you've seen them in their car. The online photo provides additional recall. And the most important part about www.flirtingintraffic.com is that all of the members are truly single and available. You wouldn't put our sticker on your car if you were married or in a relationship!" exclaims Philips.
And for those who don't drive or own a car? Philips says you can put the sticker on you purse, bookbag or briefcase and still achieve the same results. "It is not necessarily just for people who own a car. It is for all people who want to meet other people AFTER they've made contact somewhere in everyday life," claims Philips.
Flirting in Traffic has members in all 50 states as well as some in Canada and Ireland. It offers both black and white stickers as well as rainbow stickers for the gay and lesbian community.
